Wedding anniversary tag card

Hello,

55 year ago my dear parents got married. They married each other on New year’s eve. My Mother was 20 years old and my Father was 23, today it might seems as a very young age. I am so thankful for my parents and that they both are healthy and young to mind, and also that they still love each other. I decided to make a tag card for them to give away together with the flowers that we bought.

I started with a Mixed media heavystock tag, inked my craft sheet with Distress inks and Oxides and spritzed some water. Dipped the tag in it and heated between the layers. Then I used Distress crackle paste through the star stencil THS115, and added platinum embossing powder. Let dry. When dry, heat set with my heat gun. Used my sewing machine around the edges, and also Walnut stain ink and crayon. I also used a stamp from CMS397 Faded types with embossing ink and then added Platinum embossing powder. Then heat dried. I also used the “checked” stamp from CMS403 Glitch 1 set, with Walnut stain Oxide.

Then I cut a piece of Mixed media heavystock, inked it as I inked the background but with green colors of Distress inks and Oxides. I diecut the heart with 664156 Faceted heart, mounted it, inked the edges with Walnut stain Distress ink, sprayed some resist spray to get some texture and shine. I also cut “55” from chipboard, Platinum metallic Kraft stock and from the green cardstock, with 661815 Deco alphabet die. I glued the three layers for the numbers together. I stamped the “love” from CMS394 Tiny text, with embossing ink and used Linda’s stamp gang Midnight emerald powder on sanded Metallic Kraft stock, then inked the edges with Walnut stain Distress ink. Attached it with a Tiny clip. The bow is ink colored seam binding band, decorated with a Story stick. The Story stick is colored with Alcohol ink in Mushroom and then I used a Distress crayon in Antique linen over the text to get it more visible.

I stamped one of the CMS403, Glitch 1 on sanded Platinum Metallic Kraft stock with embossing ink, used the same powder as above. Inked with Walnut stain Distress ink. I used my sewing machine again over the stamped image. I then glued the numbers in place.

I diecut the “love text” from sanded Metallic Kraft stock and two more times from black cardstock and one time from thin plastic from 664416 Heartbeat.  I glued all layers together, the plastic in the bottom is to get it more flexible and durable. I glued it on to the heart. I also colored a hardware head with Mushroom Alcohol ink, and glued to the heart.

I stamped a CMS394 Tiny text on sanded Metallic Kraft stock, with embossing ink, the used the same green powder as above. Mounted the piece with two hardware heads treated the same as above.

I also glued a Alcohol ink colored Adornment star under the heart. The tag is mounted on three layers plus a card blank. First layer is Kraft stock in green, sanded and inked, second layer is sanded and inked Metallic Kraft stock and third layer is cardboard that I have inked the edges on.

I will try this tag in the Celebrate challenge over at Simon says stamp Monday challenge.

New Year’s tag card 4

Hello,

This tag is made from Mixed media heavystock.

I inked my craft sheet with Distress ink’s and Oxides and spritzed with water, dipped the tag and dried between layers with my heat tool. When satisfied I used Distress crackle paste and the stencil THS147 Deco arch.

Then I stamped with embossing ink the CMS358 Music & Advert stamp and used gold embossing powder. The same powder was used on the vellum piece and on random places around the edges. The stamp on the vellum are from CMS427 Christmastime 3.

The numbers are cut from red inked Mixedmedia heavystock and sanded Metallic Kraft stock with 664808 Alphanumeric Shadow numbers. The edges on the metallic numbers are inked with Walnut stain Distress ink. In the hole on the top of the tag I put a piece of linen ribbon and a Jingle bell.

The poinsettia is made from Mixedmedia heavystock using the same procedure as mentioned for the tag background but with red inks, and 658261 Tattered poinsettia die, inked the edges with Walnut stain ink, and after I mounted it I used Distress resist spray to get it shiny and a little bit more sturdy. The leaves under the red ones and in the middle is Metallic Kraft cardstock that I have sanded and inked with Walnut stain Distress ink. I also used two beaded berries. The wellum piece is fastened with long fasteners.

I layered the tag on a piece of cardboard which I inked the edges on with Walnut stain ink, and then a sanded and inked Metallic Kraft stock layer. Then to a card blank.

I will try this tag card in the same challenge as my other tags over at Simon says stamp Monday challenge, Celebration.

Thank you so much for visiting,

New Year tag card 3

Hello,

The third card. It is made mostly like the first tag card in this serie. The only difference is the edges on the tag of this one. I used the Distress embossing dabbler on the edges and white embossing powder.

The “Best wishes” stamp is from CMS427 Christmastime 3.

The Christmas tree is cut from the platinum Metallic Kraft stock with 660978 Woodlands. The numbers are cut from chipboard, blue inked mixed media heavystock and platinum Metallic Kraft stock, from 661815 Deco.

I will try this tag as well in the challenge over at Simon says stamp Monday challenge -Celebration .

New Year’s tag card 2

Hello,

Here comes the next tag.
The background is made from a Mixed media heavystock tag. I used the THS 050 stencil and Distress Crackle paste. I used Embossing glaze in Specled egg on the paste, then let dry. After dried, then heat set. Then I sprayed the tag with Speckled egg spray stain.

I stamped the Stamptember 2020 snow flakes with embossing ink, and embossed with Linda’s stamp gang powder in Midnight emerald. The numbers are die cut from cardstock in white and in green with 664808 Alphanumeric Shadow numbers, glued a little bit offset from each other to get some depth.
I diecut the globe from Metallic Kraft stock with 664179 Destination. I stamped the “Icicles” stamp from CMS423 Vintage holidays with the same embossing powder as mentioned above on vellum.
I used some Design tape from Tim Holtz on the bottom of the tag, then I colored a paper doll with Distress crayons.

I mounted the tag on a green sanded Kraft stock and then on a white cardboard which I inked the edges on. Then on a white card blank.

I will try this tag in the Celebrate challenge over at Simon says stamp Monday challenge  .

New year’s tag card 1

Hello,

I have made some tags which I used for New Year’s cards. I used products from Tim Holtz. I started with the background using the THS050 stencil, micro glaze and Distress inks and Oxides. A favourite technique of mine.

I then stamped on the background with embossing ink, CMS358 Music & Advert stamp, then white embossing powder.

I diecut the snowflake with 663114 Flurry #3 from Metallic Kraft stock, then I used some Distress collage medium on the snowflake and sprinkled some Rock candy glitter. Then I cut it in two pieces and glued to the tag.

I diecut the numbers from Mixed media heavystock with 664808 Alphanumeric Shadow numbers, and used Distress inks and Oxides for the color.

I stamped the text with CMS427 Christmas time 3, with Distress Oxide in Chipped Sapphire and embossed with clear embossing powder. I used a piece from an old book behind the wellum to get the text more visible. I attached the vellum with my Tiny attacher.

I mounted the tag on a piece of white cardboard which I have inked the edges on with blue Distress ink. Then on a piece of sanded and inked Metallic Kraft stock, then finally on a white card blank.
I made a bow from inked seam binding band and hung a Adornment Christmas star from the bow as decoration. Then the tag was finished.

I will try this tag in the challenge over at Simon says stamp Monday challenge - Celebration. I think it is a suitable theme for this tag, to Celebrate the new year.
