Card for my lovely husband

Hello and welcome,

This card is made for my lovely husband.

All made with Tim Holtz products. I started with a panel cut from Metallic Kraft stock in gold. Then I wanted to try a technique showed by Stacy Hutchinson (Stacy’s blog) and Tim. I used Glitch 1 and 2 stampset CMS403 and 404, embossing ink and Platinum embossing powder. After heated, Distress crayon in Walnut Stain above and then smudge the crayon out. It gives a very cool effect and texture.

Then I used the Digits stencil THS145, Crackle paste and Speckled egg embossing glaze. Let dry, then heat set with my Ranger heat tool. I also stitched around the edges with my sewing machine.

“The world....” stamp is from CMS394 Tiny text, stamped on a piece of Speckled egg inked paper with embossing ink and the Platinum embossing powder. Then I mounted it with 3D foam on a piece of sanded Kraft cardstock.
I diecut the Globe 660214 from sanded Kraft cardstock. Then I cut a piece of steel wire and threaded it through some of the holes in the Globe for texture. I used embossing pen and Speckled egg embossing glaze on the Paperdolls jacket, and colored the rest of him with Distress crayons and a waterbrush.
I cut a piece of Mixed media heavystock and took the same stencil as above, used the  Microglaze technique and Distress Oxides, that became the background for the “cross” stamp from the Glitch set. I then cut it out. Placed the Paperdoll on it. Took a Ruler piece from Idea-ology and treated it with Embossing glaze and Distress crayon. On the ruler piece I glued a Adornment star that I have painted with red acrylic paint and a wash of brown acrylic paint.
I cut a Star trim with the 3D embossing folder from Metallic Kraft stock, used Distress crayon in Walnut Stain on it. I sanded a Milk cap, inked the edges and then I took a very thin layer of Weathered wood Distress paint on my craft mat, then “dipped” the Number block (1) in the paint, then I used a stamp from CMS337 Ticket booth with Jet black Archival ink. This technique is one I have learnt from a class by Tim. Love the look.
The Thought token is embossed with embossing glaze in Speckled egg, then I used Distress crayon in Antique linen. It is fastened on the Number block with a hardware piece.
In the top left corner I put some Type chips, spelling my husband’s name. I attached them with mini fasteners and a Tiny clip, treated the same way as the Adornment star.
I then layered the card on a sanded Kraft cardstock panel, a inked cardboard and then on a black card blank, all with 3D foam between for dimension.

I will try this card in the “Add som texture” challenge over at Simon says stamp Monday Challenge blog.

Thank you so much for visiting me, take care!

Snarky cat Love

Hello and welcome,

Valentine’s Day is over but Love is for every day! So here comes a tag that I have made with Love theme. I’m not really a “pink” girl, but when Tim released his new Distress color I thought that the Kitsch Flamingo is the perfect pink. 🦩.  I had to try the new color.

I started to make a tag from Distress White heavystock. Then I smooshed the Kitsch Flamingo Distress ink pad to my craft mat and spritzed some water. Dipped the tag, heated between layers, and repeated until I was happy with the result.

Then I used a Dylutions heart stencil and Distress Micro glaze. Then I used Ground espresso Distress ink on my mat, some water and then dipped the tag into the ink. The Micro glaze resist the ink and gives such a cool look, I think. Then I dripped some Walnut stain Distress ink reinker on my mat and dipped the tag again. Wow! Then dried with my heat tool. I spritzed the tag with water and used some Kitsch flamingo embossing glaze.

I also used my CMS404 Glitch 2 stamps on the background, embossing ink and white embossing powder. I also inked the edges of the tag with Ground espresso Distress ink.

I stamped the cat from CMS392 Snarky cat and the heart from CMS237 Crazy things on watercolor paper and colored with Distress ink’s.
I also stamped “Hello friend” from CMS394 on Kitsch flamingo inked White heavystock with Walnut Stain Distress Oxide and then some clear embossing powder. Inked the edges with Walnut stain Distress ink. Then I decided to add some Kitsch flamingo embossing glaze over the whole “sign”. Fastened it with a mini fastener.
I diecut the letters for “love” from chipboard and Kitsch flamingo inked White heavystock, with 664218 Handmade alphabet. Then I glued them together for some 3D dimension. I used a black fine liner pen to “made some marks” on the letters. Inked the edges with Walnut stain Distress ink. Then I used embossing ink and Kitsch flamingo embossing glaze over all letters.

I used some Glossy accent in the cat’s eyes.

I inked a piece of seam binding band with Distress ink in Kitsch flamingo and Walnut stain, for the bow.

I will try this tag in a challenge over at Simon says stamp Monday challenge - Resist it.

Have a nice day, and thanks for visiting.

Off to work for me🙂,

/ Susanne

XOXO

Hello and welcome,

Today I will  show you a card I have made for my lovely husband for this Valentin’s Day. ❤️

I started with the background cut from Mixed media heavystock. Smooshed Walnut Stain Distress ink on my media mat and dipped the background. I repeated until I was happy with the result. Then I did the same with Candied apple to get some small red areas. Then I stamped with a stamp from CMS397 with embossing ink, then I added Walnut stain embossing glaze.

I also used my sewing machine and made a stitch around the edges. I also inked the edges with Walnut stain Distress ink.

I used the stencil THMS099, Crackle paste and before that dried I added Walnut stain embossing glaze, let dry and then used my embossing gun and heat set. The “love you” stamp that I used on random places is from Stamptember 2019 set and Jet black Archival ink. I also used some red acrylic paint on my splat brush and made some “splats” on the background and some Distress Oxide spray in Walnut stain.

I also used a Brushstroke stamp from CMS293, embossing ink and red embossing powder, then heat set.

The heart is cut from Watercolor paper from 664416 Heartbeat, and embossed with the 3D folder “Foundry”. Then inked with Black soot Distress ink. Then I took the same ink pad and stroke it over the entire heart to get those small rivets to be more visible. Distress crayon in Black soot around the edges. The”XOXO” are diecut from chip board and Candied apple inked Mixed media heavystock, with 664218 Handmade alphabet. I glued the red letters on the chipboard letters and inked the edges with. Walnut stain Distress ink.

I cut the “love” from sanded Metallic Kraft stock, and also from black cardstock, glued them together for mor “strength “. I fastened it with mini fastener’s on both sides.

I also used two pieces from Idea-ology Quote chips. I sanded the edges and inked with Walnut stain Distress ink. Fastened the “Genuine” one with steel wire, and the “ Lucky” with a mini fastener and a piece of steel wire.

The “you & me” stamp is from CMS236, Crazy talk, embossed with red embossing powder, on the same surface as the big heart.
I layered the card on a layer the same as the heart, another layer inked with Candied apple Distress ink and stamped on the edges with a Happy Valentines stamp from CMS236, Crazy talk, then inked with Walnut stain Distress ink on the edges. I adhered all layers to a black card blank, all layers with foam tape in between for some dimension.

I hope you all will have a nice Valentine’s Day,

Thanks for stopping by,

/ Susanne.

Card for a friend

Hello and welcome,

It’s been a while since I put up something on my blog, so now it’s time to show a card I made for a friend who we met on one of our travels.

I started with the background and cut a piece from Tim Holtz “new” Kraft heavystock. I used Distress Oxides in Speckled egg, Evergreen bough and Broken China, smooshed the ink on my mixed media mat and then dip and dried til I was happy. I then stamped the background with Walnut Stain Distress Oxide with CMS394 Tiny text. Then I stamped the rose from CMS413 Dearly departed.

Then I colored the rose with Distress Oxides. I love that matte look. I also used my sewing machine around the edges of the card.

I randomly put some Crackle paste on the edges as well and when dry I used Distress crayon in Walnut stain over the paste. I also inked the edges with Walnut stain Distress ink, then splatted some acrylic paint in brown on the background with my Splat brush.

I chooses a Photobooth photo and sanded it lightly, then inked the edges with Walnut stain Distress ink. I used my sewing machine again around the edges of the photo. Then I cut a piece of metallic Kraft stock and the 3D embossing folder Star trim. After cut and embossed I used Distress crayon in Walnut Stain. I. Add a ticket from CMS337 Ticket booth stamps and die cut it with the coordinating dies, 662698. Used Old paper Distress Oxide for the ticket background and stamped with Walnut stain Oxide. I also used two pieces from Idea-ology Layers-Urban. I fastened the photo with a Tiny clip.
The “No 5” stamp in the corner and the circular “Received” stamps are stamped with Jet black Archival ink and are from set CMS225 Correspondence.

I fastened a Idea-ology Thought token on the photo with a long fastener. To get the text more visible I used a Distress crayon in Antique linen. I used some Glossy accent in the middle of the flower as a little accent.
I stamped “Collect beautiful moments” from CMS394 Tiny text with embossing ink, then used Black embossing powder and heated on a piece of Kraft cardstock. Inked the edges with Walnut stain Distress ink. Fastened tot with Mini fasteners.
I layered the card on some pink and green cardstock, and a piece of cardboard. All edges inked with Walnut stain Distress ink. 3D adhesive between the layers for some depth.

Thank you very much for visiting today,
