SPF 1000 Summerween pumpkin card

Hello and welcome, 

This is my third make as a guest designer for Whimsy stamps Summerween. 

I started with the background and stamped the pumpkin stamps on post-it notes twice, cut them out and used as masks when I stamped the 15 pumpkins on watercolor paper. 

I colored one pumpkin in different colors and the other 14 in black shades. 

I decorated three of the corners with orange half pearles. 

I cut a text from the Quick card front pack, sanded the edges and then colored the sentence in orange. 

I cut the film strip die from black kraft stock. Cut one frame and sanded. I also stitched the edges of the background with black thread with my sewing machine and then inked the edges with black ink. 

I adhered the frame with 3D foam for dimension and gave the pumpkin a pair of ”googly eyes” 🙂. 

I also stamped the wave stamp a couple of times on the bottom of the card. 

I mounted the background on a piece of white cardstock with 3D foam for dimension. Inked the edges with black ink. 

Then I made a cardbase from black cardstock.

Cool cat - Birthday card for my Dear Dad

Hello and welcome, 

Today I have a birthday card for my Dear Dad to share❤️. 

A while a ago when Katzelkraft had a final sale I was lucky to caught some of their stamps. This cat was one of them. Other products are from Tim Holtz.

 

I started to cut a piece of Watercolor cardstock. Used the THS145 Stencil Digits and Distress Microglaze as a resist. This is such a cool technique. Then I sprayed Distress spray stains and Distress Oxide spray. The Microglaze resist the spray and gives such a cool look. Heated with Heat tool. 

Then I stamped some stamps on the background. Some using Black embossing powder and some with Archival ink. 

I used the same stencil and choose a part of the stencil that has number 84 on a row, and then used black Texture paste. (My Father turned 84 years). #happybirthday is stamped and embossed with black embossing powder. 

I stitched around the edges with my sewing machine, and I also inked the edges with Ground espresso Distress ink. I used Alcohol ink in Mushroom to color to Hardware heads for the upper corners on the card. The number strip is an Idea-ology Number strip which I fastened with a Tiny clip. 

I stamped the cat on Watercolor paper and colored it with Distress inks. Cut it out, inked the edges and adhered it to the card with 3D foam for dimension. 

I inked the edges on three small Ephemera pieces and adhered them with some glue and a long fastener. 

I used some Ideaology Cello sticker tape as decoration as well.

I mounted the card with 3D foam on a dark grey piece of cardstock and then made a card base from White cardstock that I inked the edges on.

Happy Summerween

Hello and welcome, 

Summerween is in full swing over at Whimsy stamps and this is my second make as a guest desiner for them. 

For this make I have used some Kraft cardstock which I colored with Distress inks and Oxides. I diecut the paper with the Terrific tickets die and stamped with embossing ink. Then used white embossing powder, and heated. 

I colored the stamped image with Distress inks and Distress oxides, and used a white Posca pen for highlight. 

I splattered some black acrylic paint on the background as well.

I used one of the text strips from the Quick card fronts, sanded the edges and used a white Posca pen around the text.

I used some black enamel accents in the corners of the card, and some glossy accents on the glasses. 

I mounted the card on orange and green cardstock with 3D foam between layers for dimension. Then I made a black cardbase from heavy cardstock.

Summerween with Whimsy Stamps

Hello and welcome, 

I am honored to have been asked to be a guest designer for Whimsy stamps Summerween party. Such a fun party with stamps, coordinating dies and Quick cardfronts. 

So this is my first make, a slimline card where I have used the following Whimsy stamps products: 

Summerween Scream clear stamps CWSD425a, Summerween scream Outline die set WSD053 and Slimline filmstrip die WSD463.

I choose to put three of the images from the stamp set in the filmstrip. 

I gave the skull som golden teeth. I embossed the text and the little palm tree stamp with Black embossing powder. 

I used some textured paste for sand and also a piece of Mica flake over some of the ghost image.

Seamstress

Hello and welcome, 

Today I will share a Birthday card for a colleague who turned 60. She has an education in sewing, so I choose that as theme on her card.

I absolutely love these stamps from Tim Holtz. They are just gorgeous. 

I stamped the images on watercolor paper and colored the stamps with Black soot Distress ink. I splattered red acrylic paint, and used my sewing machine around the edges. 

I put a needle with a red plastic head in a piece of Ruler ribbon. I also used a piece of Ideaology Stitched scraps basics. 

Both stamped images are mounted on a black and a red piece of cardstock. I hand stitched a cross with silk thread on the small image card. 

I decorated the card with red half pearls, and a piece of fabric that I inked with Distress inks to get that old worn look. I sewed two buttons onto the fabric. The buttons is from an old shirt from the brand we both work for - Haglöfs, you can see that the hole’s in the buttons shaped as an H. Haglöfs is an outdoor brand founded in Sweden 1914.  

I made a cardbase from thick black cardstock.

Birthday card for my collegue’s Mother

Hello and welcome, 

I made a birthday card for my collegue’s Mother. She own’s a French bulldog, so I decided to use that as the theme of the card.

Products used are Tim Holtz, and the stamp is an old digital from Kenny K design.

I made a brick wall as the background. I used a 3D embossing folder and followed a tutorial from Zoe Hillman, link here Brickwork. 

I stamped one of the stamps from CMS238 Crazy thoughts on the brick wall with Distress embossing ink and then used Black embossing powder. Then heated with heat gun. I inked all the edges with Distress ink Scorshed timber. 

The fence is diecut from Distress Woodgrain cardstock with a really old Tim H die called 657030 On the fence (an on the edge die). I colored it with Distress spray stain, Oxide spray and when dry I applied Distress paint lightly with a brayer on the raised areas. (From a tutorial by Tim Holtz). I used Mini fasteners and a Hitch fastener on the fence. 

I colored the Bulldog with Distress inks. 

I used Glossy accent on the glasses, his eyes, the clock and the buckle. 

The pipes are from a die set called Vault industrial, 666874. I used texture paste through a stencil and then used acrylic paints and made some rust. Technique’s I have learned from Andy Skinner. 

Nr “60” is cut from Alphanumeric 660056 from black sanded Kraftstock and white cardstock. I glued them together a little bit offset to get a “shadow”, then highlighted with a white Posca pen.

The bones are stamped with CMS271 Crazy dogs, embossed with black powder on watercolor paper, cut out and then I picked a hole in them and put them on a swivel clasp.

I mounted the card on cardboard, then made a cardbase from black thick cardstock.inked the edges on the cardboard with Scorched timber Distress ink.

Happy Easter tag

Hello and welcome, 

I needed a tag for a bouquet of flowers that I gave away so I made one with Tim Holtz Papercut chicks.

The tag itself is a Mixed media heavystock #8. I used Distress spray stain, Distress Oxide spray’s on the tag.

Then I stamped the “Happy Easter” from the clear stamp set Hipster Bunny. After that I used the Intertwined 3D embossing folder. All edges are inked with Distress ink.

The chicks are colored with Distress inks.

Happy Easter gift box

Hello and welcome, 

Today I will show a small giftbox that I have made using an old die from Tim Holtz. (The Curio box), I saw Tami B used it to make a giftbox a couple of years ago. Other products are also from Tim Holtz.

The box is cut from Watercolor cardstock and colored with Distress spray stains and Oxide sprays. The edges are colored with Distress ink. I used Sizzix 3D embossing folder Intertwined to get the pattern and structure on the box. 

I have used the Papercut chicks dies for the chickens. 

The dots on the tag are stamped with a stamp from Mr rabbit stamp set. And the text Happy Easter is from Hipster Bunny clear stamp set. 

I used a thin plastic sheet as a window.

Flowers for birthday

Hello and welcome, 

Today I have another Birthday card. My Mother’s former collegue turned 91 in January, so I made her a card.

I wanted her to have a little taste of spring in this card. So I choose some flowers and pink color 🌸.

I used the stamp CMS460 Tiny prints on the background and used clear embossing powder, heated with embossing gun. Inked the background with some pink Distress inks and oxides. Then I used my iron and ”ironed away” the embossing powder. A very cool technique that I have learned from Tami Baastians. 

By doing that you get rid of the blank finish you get from the embossing powder. 

For this card I also used one of these nice collage strips. And the flowers from 665853 Modern flowerstry. 

The text is from 666873 Vault edges. 

The stamp in the uppger right corner is from Tim’s Stickerbook - Postmarked, an fun is that there are some  Swedish stamps in it. An old stamp. 

I have decorated the card with some Distress spritz, some pearls and some white Posca pen. I stitched the edges with my sewing machine and I also stitched some on the collage strip.
