Birthday card for a collegue

Hello and welcome,

Today I want to share a card that I have made for a colleague who have turned 30. He own’s a Harley Davidson motorcycle so I wanted it to be a male card with some details to pick up the HD theme.

I have used Tim’s products for this card.

The background is Mixed media heavystock, 662717 Foundry 3D embossing folder. Inked with Distress inks.

Grit paste translucent and Distress crayons around the edges of the background. Alcohol inked die cut gears.

“30” is cut from 665367 Countdown, Ideaology cardstock.

Here I have used my Bigz die 664168 Voltage, Distress grit paste translucent and Distress crayons. Metallic Kraftstock. CMS373 The professor. Distress Watercolor pencils.

665924 Alphanumeric Theory for the “HD”. The tyre stamp is an old set, CMS128 Roadtrip, which I have embossed with black embossing powder.

The tag is cut from 657188 Tiny tags and tabs. 665754 Industrious 3D embossing folder. Gears from 666603 Vault watch gears, metallic Kraftstock and Alcohol ink in Mushroom.

The bolts are made from cardboard and metallic Kraftstock, 664185 Steampunk parts. Distress crayons.

A piece of rustic wire in the tag hole.

Acrylic paint for small splatters on the card.

Cardboard from an old shoebox behind the card. Than black cardstock as a cardbase.

I will try this card over at Simon Says stamp Monday challenge - Masculine.

Mother’s day card

Hello and welcome,

Today I will share the card I made for my Dear Mother for Mother’s day last Sunday.

I used the wreath die from Tim Holtz as the main focus.

I started with a piece of Watercolor cardstock, inked some Distress ink Pumice stone on my craftmat, spritzed some water and dippen the paper. Dried with my heat tool. Repeated until happy.

I used Tim’s heart stencil and Distress Texture paste matte. Let dry.  Then I sprayed some Distress spray stain Uncharted mariner and some water and dried again with my heat tool. I stamped some text with CMS328 Entomology stamp set and Archival ink in Ground espresso. Inked the edges with Distress ink Scorshed timber and stitched with my sewing machine around the edges. I also splattered a little bit with Distress spray stain  Uncharted mariner.

I diecut the pieces for the wreath from 666563 Vault funky floral wreath and Watercolor cardstock. Then inked the pieces with different colors of Distress ink. I also took a piece of a Ideaology Stencil card and dipped into some Distress ink Uncharted mariner and inked the edges with Scorshed timber. Used a Ideaology Tiny clip in the top left corner as decoration . I cut the heart with 666567 Vault rosettes from Watercolor cardstock. Inked it in Uncharted mariner and spritzed som water and dried with a heat tool. I also used a sewing thread and wired it around the heart. I think that gives such a nice effect.

I cut a base from dark brown cardstock and used 3D foam for dimension.

Here you can see the thread on the heart better. You can also see that I added two small pieces of Ephemera Snippets Curator. I sanded a little on the pieces and inked the edges before I glued them to the card. I stamped some postage stamps and numbers from CMS396 Field notes with Ground espresso Archival ink.

I made a cardbase from Kraft heavystock, inked the edges with Scorched timber DI. 3D foam again for dimension.

I will try this card over at Simon says stamp Monday challenge - Lots of texture.
