Snarky tag

Hello and welcome,

I have been on a weeks vacation with limited supplies with me, but enough to be able to make some crafting. I made this tag with the very cool “Snarky cats” from Tim Holtz. All other supplies are also from TH accept from a white Posca pen.

For the background I used Distress ink in Walnut stain on a Mixed media heavystock tag. Then I used Distress ink in Walnut stain through the Eye chart stencil. Forest moss Distress ink through the star stencil. I also stamped one of the stamps from CMS397 Faded type with Aged mahogany. I distressed the edges with Walnut stain as well.

I used a white Posca pen and “doodled” around the stars.

I stamped the cat from CMS 392 Snarky cats on the background with Archival ink in Jet black, and the same cat on watercolor card stock. I love the cats and this one really looks totally hilariousđŸ˜». I colored the cat on watercolor cardstock with Distress inks. And cut it out, then mounted it with 3D adhesive above the cat which was stamped on the tag. I made it this way to get the hair around the cat to be visible without the difficulties to fuzzycut the hair.

Then I stamped the snarky sentiments on watercolor cardstock with Jet black Archival,  mounted them with 3D adhesive and “ colored” them with Black soot Distress ink.

I really love this set, the cats are so cool and the sentiments are so funny.

I will try this tag in the following challenges:
Simonsayssstamp mondaychallenge - Stencil fun
Craftstamper magazine blog - TIMI March challenge

Thank you for visiting, and take care in these crazy times,
/Susanne.
