Flowers for birthday

Hello and welcome,

Today I have another Birthday card. My Mother’s former collegue turned 91 in January, so I made her a card.

I wanted her to have a little taste of spring in this card. So I choose some flowers and pink color 🌾.

I used the stamp CMS460 Tiny prints on the background and used clear embossing powder, heated with embossing gun. Inked the background with some pink Distress inks and oxides. Then I used my iron and ”ironed away” the embossing powder. A very cool technique that I have learned from Tami Baastians.
By doing that you get rid of the blank finish you get from the embossing powder.

For this card I also used one of these nice collage strips. And the flowers from 665853 Modern flowerstry.

The text is from 666873 Vault edges.

The stamp in the uppger right corner is from Tim’s Stickerbook - Postmarked, an fun is that there are some  Swedish stamps in it. An old stamp.

I have decorated the card with some Distress spritz, some pearls and some white Posca pen. I stitched the edges with my sewing machine and I also stitched some on the collage strip.

Products used:

Watercolor cardstock, CMS460 Tiny Prints, Clear embossing powder, Distress inks and Oxides, 665853 Modern florestry, 666873 Vault edges, Stickerbook-Postmarked, Collage strip.

I will try this card over at Simon Says stamp Monday challenge - Beautiful blooms.

Thank you very much for visiting my blog.

Birthday card for my collegues Mother

Hello and welcome,

A while ago I was asked by my collegue if I wanted to make a card for his Mother’s birthday. Of course I felt honored and answered yes.

My colleague have 2 sisters and all the children was going to give away some kind of experience for their Mother. So the theme of the card should represent the gifts in some way.

Two of the children are giving travels, one to Austria and one to Italy, therefore I used the mountain die, the suitcase, the aeroplane and the globe.

The wineglass stamp is for Italy. And the third gift was a gym card and some training gear. Therefore me and my husband made some handlebars for the card🙂. I made two small tags as Italy’s and Austria’s flags and put them on the suitcase. Stamped a ticket that I inked as well.

I used a postagestamp and stamped on random places on the background.

The flag is diecut from Watercolor cardstock with 660953 Crazy things, and then I cut some fabric to cover it. The fabric is colored with Distress inks, to look old. The text and ”60”, is diecut from Watercolor cardstock, inked with Distress inks and then glased with Glossy accent.

The wineglass is colored with Distress inks and then also glased with Glossy accent.

The globe is diecut from Watercolor cardstock and then colored with Distress inks.

The mountain is diecut from Watercolor cardstock and inked with Distress inks.

I stitched around the edges with my sewing machine. I also decorated the card with hex fasteners in three corners.

I matted the card on a black piece of cardstock with 3D foam and then I used a piece of cardboard behind that. Then I made a black card front.

All edges are inked with Ground espresso Distress ink.
