Hipster Ostrich card

Hello and welcome,

Today I will share a card I made with Tim Holtz Hipster stampset, CMS288.

I started with the background and used Distress Oxide in Gathered twigs. Then I used my mini shifter stecil diamonds with Distress ink in Rusty hinge and Gathered twigs. I spritzed the background with water after using the shifter stancil so the pattern will be a little blurry. Then I took Black soot Distress ink through my Eyechart stencil THS010, and after that I stamped through the stencil with an alphabet stamp from CMS090 Going somewhere and Jet black Archival ink. Then I stitched the edges with my sewing machine and inked the edges with Distress ink in Walnut stain.

I made a frame from watercolor cardstock and Rectangle stitched dies, used Distress inks in Gathered twigs, Walnut stain and Broken china to color the frame.

I colored the ostrich with Distress inks. And I also colored a flower from Ideaology bouquet with Distress inks and put it in her hat. I used Glossy accents on her glasses to get the look of glass.

I diecut three glasses from Sizzix Tim Holtz dies 660953 Crazy things from Craft- and Coredinations cardstock. I cut out circles from OH-film as glass and glued them in to the glasses. (It,s all in the details ;) ).

"See you" are cut from my Traveler words die from Sizzix TH, 661803, from Coredinations cardstock. I sanded the glasses and the letters. I used a "No 247" story stick and a long fastener on the frame. I used Distress crayon in Mermaid lagoon and Picket fence in the "No 247" so it should be more visible.

I colored a wordband in the same way as the storystick and mounted on the frame with some hempstring. Above that in the left corner i put a piece of Ideaology filmstrip and a sanded milkcap. The milkcap has inked edges with Walnut stain Distress ink.

I mounted my card on a black base and a panel of sanded Coredinations cardstock. I used 3D adhesive between the layers. I also used 3D adhesive behind the ostrich head.

I will try this card in the following challenges:

Valentine card

Hello,

Welcome to my blog!

Today I will show a Valentine card I have made for my beloved husband.

I started with the background using Distress Oxide in Gathered twigs on Distress mixed media heavystock, and then stamped it with the text stamp from CMS328 Entomology set with Archival ink in Sepia.
Then I diecut the hearts with a movers & shapers die and then used the same "treatment" as the background on the hearts. Then adhered the hearts to the background with Distress Collage medium. After that I colored the hearts with Distress crayons in Festive berries and Gathered twigs. I used Grit paste and Distress crayons round the edges to get some texture and a distressed look.

I diecut the "love-sign" from Woodgrain cardstock with Sizzix Tim Holtz Planks die. I inked it with Distress Oxide Gathered twigs and Distress ink in Walnut stain. For the word I used my Sizzix Tim Holtz Deco die. I cut the letters first from chipboard and then from Kraft cardstock which I sanded, then glued them together, for dimension. I used ideaology mini fasteners and hempstring for the hanging.

I used a Ideaology Hitch fastener to hang the sign on.

The sign in the upper left corner is a Ideaology Wood slice which I distressed the edges on with Distress ink in Walnut stain and mounted a story stick on. I used Distress crayon in Festive berries on the story stick to get the word more visible.

In the lower left corner I used some Ideaology pieces, such as Mummy cloth colored with Distress stain in Festive berries and Frayed burlap, a piece of Ruler ribbon inked with Walnut stain, Ruler piece distressed with Walnut stain ink and finally another Hitch fastener.

In the lower right corner I used one of the new dimensional domes, placed a photo of my husband in it and also put in some small hearts from Kraft cardstock diecut from a Tim Holtz die called Shape strips. (It was difficult to take a good photograph from this because of the reflections)

I hope my husband will appreciate this card.

I will try this card in the following challenges:

Card for Terry 80

Hello and welcome!

Today I will show a card I made for a man who turn´s 80 in February next year, ha ha, I thought it was this year but it is great to be ahead schedule.

I started with the small tag on the card. I used Tim´s tag dig for the tag and cut it out from Distress Heavystock. Then I stamped parts of CMS360 Inventor 6 on the tag. I then used Gathered twigs Distress Oxides on it. Then I covered it with Distress Collage medium and on some parts Distress Collage medium crazing for the texture. Then I used Distress Crayon in Walnut stain on the crazing and round the edges of the tag.

Then I made the background of the card. A piece of Distress Heavystock, used the Gears 3D texture fade and put some crackle paste on the folder, then through my Big shot. After that I inked the hole  surface with Distress ink Walnut stain. Covered it with Distress collage medium. Then I used Distess Crayons in Walnut stain, Black soot, Rusty hinge and Iced spruce. Then I used my sewing machine round the edges.

I diecut gears from chipboard and used Distress Oxide in Rusty hinge to cover them, then I sprayed them with Distress resist spray. Then I used Distress crayons in different brown and black colors. I like the texture you can get with the Distress spray. I also diecut a globe from Tim´s Sizzix Globe die, from Kraft cardstock and sanded it for a more distressed look.

I used Tim´s Ideaology Hexagon fasteners in the middle of the gears.

Here you can see the texture that the Distress collage medium crazing did.
Here you can see all the layers of the card. I mounted the background on sanded Kraft cardstock and then mounted that layer on a Kraft core metallic piece that was diecut with Tim´s die Stitched rectangels and then also sanded.

The "arrows" are from a Sizzix Tim Holtz die called Shape strips. And the number´s 80 are from a Sizzix Tim alphabet die called "Deco" which I love. I cut 80 both from metallic Kraftstock and from blue Kraft stock and sanded both and glued them a little bit offset.
To finish off my card I colored a paper doll with Distress markers on some of his clothes and also put a Small talk sticker on the card.

I will try this card in this challenge:

Simonsaysstamp blog Mondaychallenge, Use something new. (I have used my new alphabet die "Deco", and my new stampset CMS360 Inventor 6)

Merry moose card

Hello again,

Another Christmas card, with Tim Holtz products.
First time I saw the Merry moose die I knew I was going to buy it. He is so cool.

I started to make the background with Distress oxide in Stormy sky and Chipped Sapphire. I cut out a mask with a round die for the moon and masked it off. Then when I was ready with the sky I took away the note and used the negative diecut as a mask and used Mustard seed and Wild honey Distress oxides. Spritzed the two colors with water for some more interest. Then I used one of Tim´s stencils for the snowflakes and used opaque texture paste and put some Rock Candy glitter on it before it dried.

I handcut the snowdrifts and used glossy accents and clear rock candy glitter on them.

I diecut the trees and the moose from Kraft cardstock that I have sanded for the distressed look. On the trees I also used Glossy accents and Clear rock candy glitter. A great tip I learned from the talented Paula Cheney in a class at the very nice shop Whimsodoodle in St. Petersburg Florida on my vacation. It looks like frosty trees!

I distressed the edges of the moose with Walnut stain Distress ink.

I stamped the texts with two different stampsets, CMS323 Holiday postmarks and CMS357 Festive overlay, embossed with black embossingpowder.

The "Happy new year" stamp is matted on a tree plank piece which are diecut with the Planks die and embossed with the 3D embossing folder for that woodplank look, colored with different colors from Distress oxides.

The card is matted on a panel from the Tidings Design paper stack.

Thanks for visiting and Merry Christmas!

Deer Christmas card

Hello and welcome,

I want to share a Christmas card that I´ve made. I have been away on vacation and had the possibility to find some new Tim Holtz products. I have used some of them on this card.
I started with the background and used old paper Distress Oxide on Distress Heavystock. Then I stamped CMS360 Inventor 6 and gold embossing powder. I also stamped the background with he text stamp from CMS328 Entomolgy. After that I used Distress ink in Walnut stain and gold foil on the edges. I matted that card with two different Design paper-Tidings panels.

The smaller panels are Kraft stock metallic, Designer paper-Tidings and then I made a red panel with different colors of Distress ink and embossed the "Paramount" stamp from CMS066 Mini Holidays set with white embossing powder. I like that stamp a lot.

I die cut the deer with Tim´s new die Cool Yule, from Kraft cardstock and Designpaper-Tidings.
The glasses are diecut from Kraft metallic paper in gold. I used Grit paste as snow on the deer´s head, antlers and scarf.

GOD JUL is Swedish and means Merry Christamas. I used the Deco die from Tim Holtz Sizzix for these letters. I´ve wanted this die a very long time and now it has been given to me buy my husband :) I love that font!

The small black "air mail" stamps are from CMS323 Holiday postmarks.

I also used Tim Holtz splatter brush and white acrylic paint to get the "snowy effect" on the background aand on the letters.

I finished the card off with some black hemp thread and an ideaology Adornments Christmas. Also a hex fastener in the top right corner.

I used some gold acrylic paint to change color on the Ideaology pieces.

I mounted this card on a black cardpanel and distressed the edges with Picket fence Distress ink.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Halloween card

Hello,

Today I will share another Halloween card.
The background of this card is made using Tim Holtz Planks die and 3D embossingfolder Lumber on Distress Media Heavystock. I started to diecut some planks and then used the 3D embossingfolder to get the texture. Before I embossed the plank pieces I inked one inside of the embossingfolder with Jet black Archival ink to get the ink down in to the texture. After embossing I used Distress Oxides in different brown tones to get the wood color.
Then I mounted the planks together with tape and som 3D adhesive. After that I diecut the clawmarks from Tim´s Sizzix die Clawmarks.

Behind the clawmarks I mounted a piece of Tim Holtz Design papers from the Regions beyond stack. There you can see the face of a lady who have been missing for a while...

For the Halloween text I have used Tim´s technique stamping, with stain, instead of stains I used Distress sprays in Carved pumpkin, Black soot and Wilted violet, then stamped with Picket fence. Stampset CMS138, Apothecary from Stampers Anonymous.

Under the Halloween word I placed Drip edge diecut from Tim´s Sizzix die Drip edge. I cut this from Kraft cardstock in red and sanded, then used some Glossy accents above.
Also some cheesecloth coloured with Carved pumpkin Distress spray and Black soot Distress ink.

In the left corner I placed an Ideaology clip and owl. The owl and clip are coloured with some acrylic pants and I used Stickles glitter in red for his eyes.

For the sentence I used some Halloween clipping stickers.

"Deer-Santa"

Hello and welcome,

Last weekend I went to a crop and received some new Tim Holtz, Stampers anonymous stamps that I have ordered. I decided to make a Christmas card so I started with the set Yuletide CMS356 and the stamp with Santa. And I couldn´t resist, what if I put the deer´s head on Santa´s body? Then I was hooked!

I masked the stamps together, and colored him with Distress inks.
For the background I used Distress Mixed media Heavystock and Distress Oxide in Old paper. Then I stamped the Advert stamp from CMS358 and embossed it with embossingpowder in gold for an old and vintage look. I also stamped the textstamp from CMS328 Entomology with Walnut stain Distress ink. I mounted the background on two different designpapers from Tim Holtz Tidings stack, then on black Coredinations cardstock as a base. All inked with Distress ink Walnut stain on the edges.

I diecut some houses with Tim´s Sizzix die, Cityscape Metropolis, from Coredinations cardstock and sanded for a distressed look.

I used a Ideaology Tiny bell and a string for decoration.

I used Grit paste on the roofs as snow.

I used two stamps from the CMS323 Holiday postmarks as "decorations", stamped on designpaper with embossing powder in gold. I mounted the two pieces with 3D tape for dimension.

I also put a Ideaology Hexagon fastener in the top right corner.

I think the "Deer-Santa" looks so proud and satisfied when he leaves the city after he has given away all the Christmas gifts . He´s got so much authority. lol.

I will try this card in this challenge:

Have a nice day,
