Hello and welcome,

Another tag with the same techniques as I’m used in my two later blogposts.

I have used the following products:

Distress Oxide sprays, Distress inks, Distress micro glaze, Distress Crackle paste, Embossing glaze.

Stamps: CMS403 & 404, Glitch 1 & 2, CMS394 Tiny text.

Crazy cat tag

Hello, 

Another tag made with the same techniques as in my last blogpost. 

I used black Archival ink to stamp the Faded types stamp, then I used embossing glaze in Rusty hinge  above. It almost gives a dark rusty look! 

In random places I used my water spritzer and spritzed water, then used embossing glaze in Rusty hinge. Love that look!

Crazy dog tag

I have followed Tim Holtz FB lives every week now. I think it is so generous of Tim and Mario to spend so much time and share so many techniques and ideas on the lives. So inspiring.
I have used the Micro glaze resist on this tag and also the new embossing glaze.

I started with the background, on mixed media heavystock. Used some Distress Oxide sprays and Distress inks. Micro glaze and the following stencils, THS145, Digits, THS005, Honeycomb.

Then I used the water spritzer and spritz some water, then some embossing glaze in Rusty hinge, to make some splatters and texture on the background.

Then I used some stamps from CMS403 and 404, Glitch 1 & 2. Stamped them on the background with Black Archival ink. 

I stamped the dog with CMS271 Crazy dogs and colored it with Distress inks. The text “Hello” on the food bowl is from CMS394 Tiny text. 

The “snarky” text is from the Snarky cats stamp set, CMS392.

I have really enjoyed making this tag, just for the fun to play and try out the techniques.

Yellow spring birthday card

Hello and welcome,

Hope you all stay safe and healthy in these “crazy” and unusual times.

Today I will show a birthday card for a women who turns 50 in May. I have made the card with Tim Holtz products.

I started with the background. Cut a piece of Watercolor cardstock. Inked it with my ink tool with Scattered straw and Fossilized amber Distress Oxides. Then I sprayed it with Rusty hinge and Fossilized amber Distress Oxide sprays. Then I splattered Walnut Stain Distress Oxide spray with the splatter brush. I inked the edges with Walnut stain Distress ink, and used my sewing machine and made some stitching. I stamped one of the Faded type stamps (CMS397) with Walnut stain Distress Oxide ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder. I also used a stamp from CMS225 Corresondence with Walnut stain Distress Oxide. I mounted that background on a sanded green Kraft cardstock. Then on a sanded Metallic gold panel, with Walnut stain inked edges. All mounted with 3D adhesive to get some dimension.

The next panel is also made from Watercolor cardstock and first I used the THMS091 stencil with resist spray in two of the corners. Then I used the same stencil with Texture paste opaque crackle in the other two corners. Then I sprayed the whole panel with Fossilized amber Distress Oxide spray, and then inked the edges with Gathered twigs Distress Oxide ink and a little Walnut stain Distress ink. I then stamped another stamp from CMS397 Faded types with Sepia Archival ink. I also mounted this panel on a green sanded panel of Kraft cardstock. I put a long fastener in the upper left corner on this panel. And behind the panel I used the new Idea-ology Type clips. “N” is for the first letter in this cards receivers name, and “50” is for how many years she turns.

Next step are the decorations. I diecut the Sizzix Destination die, 664179, from Metallic kraftstock, sanded and then colored with Distress crayon in Black soot and Walnut stain in random areas. 

I diecut a flower from Wildflower stems #2, 664164, from Watercolor cardstock and colored it with Tim’s waterbrush and Distress inks. The white dots in the middle of the flower is made with a white Posca pen. I put a twine around the stem and used my sewing machine to attach the flower to the card. 

Then I die cut a Trinket frame, 664186, from chipboard, spread some Texture crackle paste on random areas of the frame, let dry. The spray the frame with Walnut stain Distress Oxide spray. Then ink the edges with Walnut stain Distress ink. 

Time for the Idea-ology paper doll; which I colored with waterbrush and Distress crayons, the same with the little dog. I put a pair of Transparent wings behind the girl as well. And a Tiny clip on the frame. These clips are so cool! 

At the bottom of the card I placed a Star border, cut from Metallic craftstock gold and colored with Walnut stain Distress crayon to get this aged look that I wanted. The crayons are so versatile! On that border I placed a Small talk sticker, mounted on a piece of green sanded Kraft cardstock.

Bunny hop spring card

Hello and welcome,

Today I will show a card I made with Tim Holtz products. I will give this card to a women on her birthday.
With spring and easter approaching I thought it would be suitable to use a rabbit from the Sizzix Bunny hop die, 664421 and flowers from Funky florals #3, 662702, and Wildflower Stems. #2, 664164.

For the background I used the Flourish 3D embossingfolder, and inked the folder with Distress Oxide ink Stormy sky and then run through my Big shot with Watercolor cardstock. Then I sprayed the background with some water and dried it with my heat tool. Inked the edges with Walnut stain Distress ink.

The flowers and stems are diecut from Watercolor cardstock and colored with Distress inks with Tim’s water brush. 

The rabbit is also cut from Watercolor cardstock and then I used gritpaste on it. Then I sprayed it with Black soot Distress Oxide spray. I like the achived texture. Then I took a white string and colored with Mustard seed Distress ink, and tied around his neck. I used a white Posca pen as highlight on some of the flowers.

In the corner I also used a Number stamp from CMS225 Stampers anonymous Correspondence.

The Quote chip is sanded and inked on the edges with Distress ink in Seedles preserves. 

I mounted some of the flowers on 3D adhesive to get some dimension. I mounted the background on a sanded gold metallic Kraftstock, then a panel of Distress ink colored (Seedles preserves) Watercolor cardstock and finally on the back a piece of cardboard.

Snarky tag

I have been on a weeks vacation with limited supplies with me, but enough to be able to make some crafting. I made this tag with the very cool “Snarky cats” from Tim Holtz. All other supplies are also from TH accept from a white Posca pen.

For the background I used Distress ink in Walnut stain on a Mixed media heavystock tag. Then I used Distress ink in Walnut stain through the Eye chart stencil. Forest moss Distress ink through the star stencil. I also stamped one of the stamps from CMS397 Faded type with Aged mahogany. I distressed the edges with Walnut stain as well.

I used a white Posca pen and “doodled” around the stars.

I stamped the cat from CMS 392 Snarky cats on the background with Archival ink in Jet black, and the same cat on watercolor card stock. I love the cats and this one really looks totally hilarious😻. I colored the cat on watercolor cardstock with Distress inks. And cut it out, then mounted it with 3D adhesive above the cat which was stamped on the tag. I made it this way to get the hair around the cat to be visible without the difficulties to fuzzycut the hair. 

Then I stamped the snarky sentiments on watercolor cardstock with Jet black Archival,  mounted them with 3D adhesive and “ colored” them with Black soot Distress ink. 

I really love this set, the cats are so cool and the sentiments are so funny.

Masculine grungy Valentine card

Hello, welcome!

Today I will show a card that will be my Valentine card for my lovely husband. My husband is a genuine nice person, he is always so supportive and kind. He is helpful and cheering. I’m so thankful for all we have together! He really mean’s the world to me❤️
I have used Tim Holtz products for this card.

We start with the backgrounds; first I cut a piece from Heavystock, smeared Walnut stain Distress ink on my craft mat, spritzed with water and dipped the paper, I repeated this until I was satisfied with the look. Then I used Walnut stain kink through a number stencil, THMS054. Then I used Distress crayon in Walnut stain for the edges. I used some crackle paste on random places around the edges, then let air dry. Then some Distress crayon in Walnut stain. I used my sewing machine and zigzagged around the edges. I also used a “received” stamp from CMS225, in Archival ink, Plum.

I mounted that panel on to a Meatallic-3 Kraft stock, Onyx. (Sanded and inked edges with Walnut stain Distress ink). Then I mounted it on two red sanded Kraft card stock, (corners). 

Then I die cut the Globe (660214), from the same Onyx metallic paper, and sanded. Then I used Distress crayons in Rusty hinge, Walnut stain and Black soot on the globe. Walnut stain Distress ink around the edges. 

The heart is die cut from the Faceted heart in heavystock, inked with Candied apple and Aged mahogany Distress ink. Then spritzed with water. I used black sewing thread around the heart. The “love you” label is made with a stamp from Stamptember 2019 on watercolor paper, inked with Walnut stain Distress ink. Spritzed with water and inked with the same ink around the edges. 

The text “You mean the world to me” is diecut from red  sanded Kraft card stock with Alphanumeric label (664177). The ideaology Heart charm is seen by hand to the card. 

“Love” is diecut in both chipboard and watercolor paper. Colored with Candied apple and Aged mahogany Distress ink. Spritzed with water. I used Deco alphabeth (661815).

For the ticket I used a stamp from Odds and ends CMS100, “Happy Valentine”, stamped with Plum Archival ink. “True love” is a Small talk sticker. (Sanded and inked). 

The two back panels on my card is a piece of designpaper from “Abandoned”. (Awesome papers). Stitched with sewing machine. Then a piece of cardboard, inked with Walnut stain ink.

I painted two paper dolls with Distress crayons. Stitched them to the card.
