Birthday card with a cat

Hello and welcome,

Today I will share a birthday card that I made for a friend.

I have made this card with a specific cat in mind. The women who received this card is living in a house on the countryside and one day this cat came and stayed with them, and it is still living with them.

He has his knitted sweater on and are having a cup of hot chocolate đŸ˜»đŸ™‚.

I have used some different stamps from Tim Holtz. The snowflakes are embossed with Platinum embossing powder. I love the snarky sayings from Tim.

For the moon I used Tim’s moon mask.

Products used:
Stamps: CMS392 Snarky cats (text), CMS225 Correspondence, CMS499 Mr Frostie, CMS476 Winter wonderland, Stamptember 2020 (the cat).
Dies: 657188 Tiny tabs & tags, 664177 Alphanumeric label
Distress Watercolor paper, long fastener
Moon mask, Kraft cardstock

I will try this snowy card in a challenge over at Simon says stamp blog Monday challenge - Whatever the weather.

Thank you for visiting,

Valentine card for my Dear husband

Hello and welcome,

Today I will share the Valentine card I made for my Dear husband this year.

The background is a monoprint with Tim’s stencil THS073 Heartstruck. Inspired by a card that Tami B recently made.

I used the heart from 664156 die set as a balloon 🎈.

I diecut the Love you twice with 665847 Bold text #1, and colored the letters with Distress inks and then glued them back into the first cut panel.

I splattered black acrylic paint on the whole card accept from the Mickey and balloon for some extra interest.

Products used in access of the products mentioned above:
Distress inks, Watercolor cardstock, Black acrylic paint, white Posca pen, Spellbinders Steamboat Willie duo die, chit chat stickers, 3D foam, red cardstock, black cardstock, white cardstock as cardbase.

I will try this card over at Simon says stamp Monday challenge - Spritz & Splatter.

Thank you for visiting,

Celebrating a diamond wedding (60 years!)

Hello and welcome,

Today I am happy and proud to share a card made for my Dear parents who celebrated 60 years of marriage this new year. Not every human are fortunate to celebrate such a long and happy marriage. ❤️

I’m so happy that my parents had that opportunity ❤️ and that we were able to share their moment and happiness.

I made the background first, on Watercolor cardstock. I started to ink my craft sheet with some pink and Saltwater taffy Distress inks, sprayed with water and dipped the background. Dried between layers with my heat tool and then stamped the text stamp from CMS328 Entomology with Distress embossing ink and used Platinum embossing powder. Heated with embossing gun.

Then I used Distress texture paste opaque through stencil THS017 Hearts, I “dabbed” my palette knife in the paste to get the extra textured look. Then I lightly sprayed the background with a little mist of water and then used Distress Mica spray, (opened the bottle and applied the spray with the end of the “mister”.

Then sprayed some more water to get some movement, and then dried with my heat tool. Inked the edges with black Distress ink.

I diecut the rosette and number 60 from Distress Metallic Kraftstock which I have sanded. Inked the edges with Scorched timber. The number 60 is diecut twice and glued together offset for a shadow effect.

The dies used are Sizzix 665367 Countdown, and the rosette from Spellbinders Classic Mouse holiday wreath S6-265.

Mickey and Minnie are cut from Spellbinders Classic mouse dies, from Watercolor paper (which I colored with Distress inks) and their clothes from sanded Metallic Kraftstock. I used a white Posca pen for some highlights on the figures.

As 60 year of wedding is named “diamond wedding”, I wanted to add a lot of “diamonds” on my card.

I mounted the card on a piece of red cardstock then on a piece of metallic Kraftstock, both with 3D foam between layers. Finally I mounted the card on a black cardbase that I made from cardstock. Also there with 3D foam between layers.

Thank you very much for visiting today,
