Today I have a shaker card to show you.
I have made this card for my Father who had his birthday in the beginning of June. I was inspired to make a shakercard after I saw a "bee card" made by the talented Zoe Hillman a while ago.
My Father like numbers so I went for a shakercard with numbers inside. I chose his year, month and day of birth to put in to the card. 420607.
I made the numbers from Tim´s Wordplay die, cut from chipboard and then covered them with Distress oxide treated Heavy cardstock. The background of the card is also made on Distress Heavystock and Distress Oxides. I have also used some of Tim Holtz stencils and transparent gloss texture pase. Some words and numbers are also made with DOX through a stencil.
For the "frame" I used the Tim Holtz Pipeline die. One of many favourites. :) I treated the pipes with Grit paste, Distress oxides and Distress Crayons, to achieve the old and a little bit rusty look.
I decorated the "window" with my "Father,s numbers", using Tim Holtz Label letters.
On top of the card I used one of Tim´s new Ideaology pieces Adornments Foundry, which I aged with Distress crayons and fastened with Ideaology star.
The wheel is "painted" with Crackle paint in Aged mahogany, and then Black soot Distress crayon to get the crackles more visible.
On the bottom of the card I placed an Ideaology star, painted with Distress colour and Black soot Distress crayon.
As you can see I have used a lot of Tim´s products.
Finally I wrapped some rusty wire around my card.
I will try this card in the following challenges:
Hope you all have a nice summer.
Thanks so much for visiting.
